Tobacco Control Lesson 4.2: In His/Her Shoes
Students will research the laws around tobacco of another part of the world and write a brief narrative from the perspecitve living in the environment created by those regulations. This activity is part of Section 4: Global & Social Justice ofTeenNet's Virtual Classroom on Tobacco Control. Learning objectives for this section as a whole are:
- Understanding the tobacco industry’s exploitative practices in the Global South
- Understanding “Westernization” as a marketing tool for Tobacco
- Knowledge of tobacco legislation around the world and how those who are unprotected are targeted

Research the laws, legislation, and tobacco practices in another country, and think about the differences these laws and practices would make in your life. Compose a brief story or diary entry and post it in the Student Writing section of this virtual classroom.
