Despite budget and/or dividend cuts related to the lower oil prices, Canada's largest oil company, Suncor Energy Inc., announced that it would still be going ahead with its planned Fort Hills oil sands project. Regardless of job cuts, the volatility of oil prices, and the decline in the company's net income, Suncor is saying that the operation will begin producing oil by 2017.
