What's the Problem with the Tar Sands? - Tar Sands Solutions Network (TSS)
Description

In northern Alberta, numerous oil companies are aggressively extracting bitumen from tar sands in one of the largest industrial project in the world. Concerns surrounding the development of the tar sands are provided from various aspects, such as: climate impacts, economic factors, human rights, air and water issues, land and species issues, spills and leaks, and petrostate politics. Various campaigns, solutions, and victories may also be found on this site.
Tar Sands Solutions Network is composed of environmentalists, First Nations, landowners, and concerned global citizens united to stop the reckless expansion of Canada's tar sands.
