Oil Sands - BP
Description

BP is involved in three oil sands lease areas in Alberta, alongside other stakeholder groups (Husky Energy and Devon Energy Corporation). Eash of these sites is managed responsibly through governance committees, to follow government regulations. BP is a founding member of Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance which is examining the most pressing oil sands environmental challenges: water use, the impacts on land, greenhouse gas emissions and the tailings that result from oil sands mining.
BP's businesses are organized to deliver energy products and services to people around the world. Their Upstream segment is responsible for their activities in oil and natural gas exploration, field development and production. Their Downstream segment is product and service-led, focused on fuels, lubricants and petrochemicals.
