The Mission of the Centre is to serve as the gateway to Alberta’s oil sands by presenting its history, science, and technology, promoting appreciation for it, and providing learning opportunities to all visitors. It features videos and a live presentation showing how bitumen is separated from the oil sands in this 10-minute live presentation.

This education kit, available to schools anywhere, includes images, information, and hands-on samples to help students learn about oil sands and the oil sands story from past to present. For Grades 4 to 12 on Science and Social Studies.
