Suncor Energy recycles toxic oil-sands runoff in industry first — but will other firms follow?- National Post
Description

In a move to become more ecofriendly, Suncor Energy Inc., Canada’s largest oil sands company has decided to recycle tailings water back into its operations instead of continuously using fresh water from the Athabasca River. While the decision is commendable, it is doubtful that other companies would be able to do the same. Other environmental impacts of the oil sands industry are also taken into consideration in the article.
